Joshua Roman is a renowned cellist, composer and curator. “Drive” (the music) is an original sextet written by Roman for his 2020 Musical Journal, in partnership with Town Hall Seattle.

“Drive” (the film) follows Roman’s experience recording the sextet with Ryan Hadlock, producer at Bear Creek Studio.

Nestled in the rural outskirts of Seattle, Washington, Bear Creek Studio has hosted artists from around the world to record within the warm walls of their 19th century barn. Ryan Hadlock has been producing music here for over 30 years. Artists who have recorded at Bear Creek Studio include Brandie Carlile, FleetFoxes, Vance Joy, Blonde Redhead, Lumineers, Foo Fighters, and Soundgarden.
